Only attractive precisely because this art
clearly shows us all what we so easily forget:
That we are so privileged to have lived in a country

opposition to the art dictatorship of the Nazi era.... understood
was regarded in the 1950s as an expression
of the new political order. Rupprecht Geiger resümated:
„The world is crying out for renewal or downfall.“*

And this „newness“ is still evident in the artworks in

relevance in a new sense. relevance and justification than seventy years ago.

Whoever looks at the fantastic, bizarre pictorial worlds of Bernard

absorbs the colour world of this artist, will feel this desire. will feel this desire for renewal,

And so the one-artist show of Bernard Schultze
at the stand of Galerie Bentler fits into the time when Bernard
Schultze has visionarily and imaginatively foreseen our

The artist Ulrika Eller Rüter picks up where she left off. She too
she also deals with the theme of the urgently needed
„renewal“. As an artist of our time, she is,
like all of us, she is intensely concerned with the existential threat
habitat „Earth“ confronted. And that is why
she deals with this elementary theme in her works.

Since 2019, the artist has been devoting herself to the subject of water
in the multimedia project „SEA LEVEL“ in image, light staging
and music. She creates water samples from
oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, springs, archives
and microscopes them. In this way, she makes the
hidden images that are stored in every drop of water as

With the microscopies, Ulrika Eller-Rüter makes use of
imaging methods, such as those used in medicine
and biology. biology and thus works in the
border areas between art and nature. border areas between art and natural science.
